ABOUT ME
Hi there, and welcome!
I’m Robin, and if there is one thing I find more daunting than a blank page, it’s writing these “About Me” sections. Despite my aversion, it doesn’t seem you can be a writer and create a website without having one…so here goes nothing!
As a child…no, just kidding. Let’s at least jump up to college. I did my undergraduate work at Penn State, diving deep into French Language and Culture for my Bachelor’s degree. Letting Go to Move Forward
As a writer, I often find myself in a delicate balance between holding on to what I know and taking bold steps into the unknown. This journey is filled with challenges and opportunities, each teaching me something new about my craft and myself. Folks…this is going to be a long one, and in the end, it does relate to writing – so I hope you’ll stick with me. I signed up to virtually attend “Making the Shift: A New Way to Think About Weight” with Weight Watchers and Oprah Winfrey. (Coming up Thursday, May 9th at 6 pm ET). When I signed up, there was a link to a Google Survey where you were asked some questions about weight, weight shaming, diet culture, etc. I filled out the survey. Because this girl knows all about that. I won’t go into all the details […]
Writer’s Block – Is It Real?
Writer’s block: every writer has heard of it, many have faced it, and yet, some continue to deny its existence. So what exactly is writer’s block? At its core, writer’s block refers to a state where a writer struggles to create new content or encounters a decrease in creative productivity. This isn’t just a hiccup; it’s an overwhelming feeling that can last for days, weeks, or even longer. Despite its recognition by many within the literary community, there remains a vocal contingent that claims writer’s block is merely a myth—an excuse to avoid sitting down and writing. They argue that […]
